Work Task / Design Analysis

There are circumstances when a work function may require a new design, redesign or task analysis.  The reasons for these changes may include: improving the safety of a current process or task, the creation of new process or a need to make a technological or process upgrade change.   In these instances, it is important to consider the human interface fits the function and that the operation is both safe and efficient.

HFS evaluates human interface factors to ensure a safe workplace environment, enhanced human performance, and functional effectiveness by assessing the following:

•  Job rotation: identifying levels of physical or mental fatigue to ensure productivity;
•  Workforce planning: identifying resources (material, technology, employees);
•  Work design: designing or redesigning a specific function or the consolidation of several functions;
•  Job Analysis: a step-by-step process to mitigate any safety critical tasks.
